Introducing:
PCOS Wax Bar
Method

PCOS and other endocrine disruptions, have become increasingly common. Many women struggle with fast-growing facial hair. As of now there are not many options to address this issue. Many women are left with shaving daily which only increases hair growth through follicular stimulation or having to wait for it to grow out continually to wax. There are also face epilators, but they are extremely painful to begin.

A New Solution

I decided to try my own integrative approach that combines all two options while minimizing the negatives of each.

It requires growing hair out only one time for minimal discomfort. The hair all needs to be at least the lenght of a grain of rice, but with hormonal hair it usually grows back quite fast. We do an intensive waxing session to pull out all the hair at the root. This is less painful than trying to go from shaving to epilating. Waxing will slow hair growth down and allow less to come up at once.

After this intensive waxing session, the hair will grow back slower instead of all at once. Having fewer hairs at once with weakened roots will be easier to epilate daily to continue to pull the hair as it grows back. Also using some pointed tweezers will help. I suggest this epilator (click here).

I also suggest regular exfoliation to make sure the hairs don't get stuck trying to break through the skin. If this happens, you will see a dark dot with no hair growing. Daily gentle, manual exfoliation with a cleansing brush should help. I suggest this (click here).
